Pooley Bridge & Ullswater

One of England’s best loved lakes, Ullswater stretches for 7.5 miles and is the second biggest lake in England. From bustling Pooley Bridge, at the northern point, to Glenridding at the southern point Ullswater is framed by some of the most stunning lakeland mountains, including the  Helvellyn range to the west and  High Street to the east.  With plentiful campsites, this area is a must for anyone wanting the ultimate Lake District roadtrip.
